Kranskop voetslaanpad kan onderneem word as 'n maklike 10 kilometer uitstappie na Kranskop, met vervoer gereel terug na die opstal. Of oornag in die holkransgrot na aan die bergtop, met 'n asemrowende uitkyk. Die piek van Kranskop bestaan uit 20 meter hoe loodregte klip kranse wat uitgeklim kan word met die hulp van kettings aan die rots vasgepen, & vastrapplekke uitgesny in die rotsmuur. Die bergtop bestaan uit 'n gelyk oppervlakte met verweerde kraters. Die derde opsie is om die volgende oggend die 10 kilometer terug na die opstal aan te pak te voet.

Hikers.

Geniet een van drie verskillende opsies by die Kranskop voetslaanpad, of vestig jouself by die Gelegenfontein opstal (waar verblyf voorsien word) & verken die kragtige landskap deur jou eie neus te volg. Swem, voelwaarneming, flora. Perdry kan gereel word.

Gelegenfontein opstal kan 'n maksimum van 12 persone huisves. Fasiliteite wat voorsien word : beddens, stoele, warm & koue water, stoof, yskas, lampe, kerse & beddegoed. Skoonmaakdienste, maaltye, & plaasprodukte in seisoen is beskikbaar & kan gereel word.

	Fencepost.

Enjoy one of three variations of the Kranskop hiking trial, or base yourself at Gelegenfontein farmhouse (where accommodation is provided) and explore the rugged countryside following your own nose. Swimming, birding, flora. Horseback riding by arrangement.

Kranskop hiking trial can be an easy 10 km ramble terminating at Kranskop, with arranged transport back to the farmhouse. Or experience an overnight stay in a large open-faced cave, near the summit, with spectacular views of the surrounding countryside. The peak of Kranskop is surrounded by 20m high cliffs which can be scaled by means of a chain anchored to the top and footholds cut in the rockface. The summit is a large plateau with circular craters. The third option includes hiking the 10 km back to the farmhouse.

Gelegenfontein farmhouse is an old homestead which can accommodate a maximum of 12 persons. Facilities provided : beds, chairs, hot and cold water, stove, refrigerator, lamps, candles and bedding. Servicing for the accommodation and meals on request, as well as farm produce during season.
