Hiking Trail Description

This portion of the Addo National Park is situated in the Zuurberg section of the Winterhoek Mountains, some 12 km north of Addo. Three vegetation types dominate: Grassy Fynbos, Afromontane Forest and Succulent Thicket. A variety of animals are protected.

Direction: From Port Elizabeth to the turn-off near Addo (about 60 km) and turn left into the gravel road at the Zuurberg Inn sign. A scenic drive (17 km) will lead to the Inn from where trailers can plan walks daily.

Duration: Doringkloof Walk: 11 km / 4 hours Zuurberg Walk: 2,5 km / 1 hour

No facilities but visitors can book in at Inn opposite the entrance to the Park.

South African National Parks controls the area.
