Hiking Trail Description

The following trails are available:

Bushbuck Trail: 12 km; 6 hours; fairly strenuous. A circular route that climbs 550 m to the top of Nou Nek Peak. St Croix Island can be seen in Algoa Bay on a clear day.

Copper Mine Trail: 8 km; 4 hours; moderate. A circular route through Valley Thicket to the summit of Copper Cop where exploratory shafts were sank 100 years ago.

Leopard Trail: 6 km; 3 hours; easy. A circular route that winds in out of mountain kloofs before returning via the Elands River.

Guided Wilderness Trails: 20 to 35 km; strenuous. Two guided wilderness trails the Rocky Valley and Moordenaarskop Route can be combined into two or three day outdoors adventures.

Eco Trail: A guided eco education version of the Leopard Trail.

Mountain View Adventure Camp provides The Barn that accommodates 30 people in double bunks. Outdoor kitchen facilities are available. Catering can be arranged for.
